• Up to 45 days before the date of arrival in the country, a penalty of $150.00 US per person will be applied to cover the administrative amount of the services.
• Between 44 to 30 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount will be charged.
• Between 29 to 22 days before the arrival date, 30% of the total reservation amount will be charged.
• Between 21 to 14 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 40% of the total reservation amount will be charged.
• Between 13 to 7 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 75% of the total reservation amount will be charged.
• 6 days or less before arrival date will be penalized with a 100% cancellation fee.

1. On the formalization of the travel contract.

The formalization of the reservation of your trip must be made in writing by e-mail to your travel agent contact and then fill out the registration form that will contain the information of the travelers. The travel contract comes into effect with the acceptance of the terms and conditions, as well as the amount of 30% of the total reservation.

It is the traveler’s responsibility to check that the documentation provided is by the contracted services. If this is not the case, you should contact your travel agent to make the necessary modifications.

     2. Included services.

The services included in your travel itinerary are exclusively those detailed in your travel program, any changes must be previously requested with your travel agent. These changes may imply additional costs.

       3. Unused services.

Bella Aventura will not be subject to applying for refunds if the client decides not to make use of services stipulated in the travel package (such as hotel stays, activities, and/or transfers).

      4. Cancellation of contract due to extraordinay circumstances.

If the trip is hindered, endangered, or significantly impaired because of a force majeure event not foreseeable at the time of the conclusion of the contract (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, epidemics, crises), Bella Aventura may cancel the contract. In this case, Bella Aventura will reimburse the price of the trip minus compensation of $150.00 US per person to cover the administrative amount of the services.

5. Guarantee / Customer´s responsibility.

If a travel service is not fully provided in accordance with the contract, the Customer may demand appropriate compensation within a reasonable period. Bella Aventura can rectify the situation by providing a substitute service of equal or higher value if this is reasonable for the Customer and the travel defect was caused intentionally or the rectification does not represent an inadmissible change of contract.

Bella Aventura can refuse the correction if the remedy requires a disproportionate effort.

If the travel services have not been provided in accordance with the contract, you must assert your claims against Bella Aventura during your stay in the country.

If defects or complaints are not reported during the trip by telephone (+506 2236 5226 switchboard or +506 8439 4040 emergency phone) or by mail to the travel planner, Bella Aventura is exempt from any kind of claim or refund request.

    6. Limitations of liability.

Bella Aventura is an agent and coordinator of services provided by third-party suppliers (accommodation, transportation by land, sea, and air, self-employed tour guides, as well as organizers of activities of all kinds). We are responsible for the careful selection of these providers, especially regarding suitability, compliance with applicable regulations and laws, as well as insurance coverage of the respective service provider. Therefore, Bella Aventura is not liable for the mediation services of these third-party companies, unless we can be accused of intent or gross negligence in the selection of these. Particularly excluded from liability are: Personal injury or death, as well as loss of property and assets because of force majeure, civil unrest, or natural disasters. Bella Aventura recommends that you take out travel accident and baggage insurance.

1. Bella Aventura has no control over, nor can it guarantee the assignment of specific rooms. This responds to the needs and space utilization of the contracted service provider.
2. Bella Aventura cannot guarantee the number of people participating in each of the activities. The operation of the activity is carried out by subcontracted service providers.
3. Bella Aventura cannot be held responsible for road delays related to landslides, and protests, among other circumstances beyond the agency’s control.
4. Bella Aventura will not assume refunds due to delays in international flights. However, it will make the necessary modifications to give continuity to the operation in case of this unforeseen event.
5. Bella Aventura cannot guarantee that the contracted activities will be offered in languages other than Spanish and/or English. Unless the trip has been contracted with a private guide in another specific language.
6. Bella Aventura offers certain services that are part of a package (Tortuguero, Corcovado, Pacuare, among others) with different activities. The agency will provide the itinerary of activities; however, it cannot guarantee the order of execution of these activities.
7. Bella Aventura cannot assume responsibility for the client’s failure to present the indispensable requirements (valid driver’s license and credit card) for the car rental.
8. Bella Aventura cannot control the presence of inconveniences caused by weather conditions. Because Costa Rica is a tropical country with varied microclimates.
9. Bella Aventura will not be able to ensure the sighting of wildlife since it is impossible to control the behavior of the species in their natural habitat.
