Construyendo Sonrisas is a charity that has been making a lasting difference to the lives of more than 500 socially disadvantaged children and young people in Costa Rica for over ten years. It helps them to make positive changes to their behaviour and boost their motivation by recognising and rewarding their achievements.
Bella Aventura is committed to supporting Construyendo Sonrisas through three projects close to its heart: the ‘Sponsor a Smile’ sponsorship programme, the ‘I Share My Smile’ initiative, and the special travellers’ programme ‘A Kit for a Smile’. The latter offers guests the opportunity to do good as soon as they arrive in Costa Rica by handing over a hygiene or school kit to the children and young people, thereby bringing a smile to their faces straight away.
Building a culture of solidarity that promotes the sustainable development of children and young people in situations of social risk – through inclusive processes and programmes that encourage initiative and foster solidarity.
If you are travelling with us as a tourist, you can take part in our ‘A Kit for a Smile’ programme. Alternatively, you can visit the foundation’s website and take part in its ‘Sponsor of a Smile’ programme or make a donation.
Make sure that your trip to Costa Rica is packed not only with your belongings, but also with hope for a child. We warmly invite you to take part in our ‘A Kit for a Smile’ programme. On arrival in Costa Rica, simply hand over the kit of your choice to the driver who will be collecting you from the airport. We will then ensure it is passed on to the foundation.
With this kit, you’ll be helping a child supported by the Construyendo Sonrisas Foundation to continue their education, giving them better opportunities in life.
With this kit, you are making an important contribution to a child’s hygiene and health. You are giving them access to essential hygiene items that help prevent illness and promote their day-to-day wellbeing.
The Construyendo Sonrisas Foundation and its ‘Sponsor a Smile’ programme offer companies and individuals the opportunity to provide a monthly allowance to a child supported by the foundation, in order to support their educational and holistic development and thus enable them to enjoy a better quality of life.
Bella Aventura supports Montserrat Ramirez, a girl, and Wilson Leon, a boy, both from the community of Santa Rosa de Santo Domingo de Heredia. These children live in difficult economic circumstances. Through a monthly contribution, Bella Aventura helps them to continue their education and improve their quality of life in the long term.
