The company Bella Aventura Costa Rica will proceed to refund the amounts as long as they are given within the previously established terms. The administrative procedures or bank commissions will be assumed by the client and not by Bella Aventura Costa Rica. 

Important: there are some service providers whose cancellation or payment policies are much more severe than those established by Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A. during some periods of the year, so in case any of these providers claim the application of the penalty of the reservation, Bella Aventura will inform you at the time of receiving your invoice which of the providers does not refund in case of cancellation.

On the conclusion of the travel contract.

With the registration, which can be made verbally, in writing, or by e-mail, you offer Bella Aventura Costa Rica (now referreded to as Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A.) to conclude a binding travel contract. The registration is made by you also for all participants listed in the registration, for whose contractual obligations you are responsible as for your obligations unless you have assumed a corresponding separate responsibility by explicit and separate declaration. The travel contract comes into effect with the acceptance of the cancellation and penalty policy at the registration processwebsitr  yououhere you must check the box where you accept the cancellation and penalt,  thuscy, thus the contract with Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A. will be concluded. If the content of the travel confirmation differs from the content of the registration, Bella Aventura will be bound to this new offertenor 10 days. The travel contract comes into effect based on this new offer if you declare your acceptance within this period. Acceptance also occurs when you make the first payment of the total amount of the trip.


With the conclusion of the contract, a deposit of 30% of the total price must be paid. The deposit must be paid to Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A. within one week after the registration process on our website. Payment will be made through a payment link or bank transfer to our account in US dollars. The outstanding balance (70% of the total booking amount) must be paid 15 days before the start date of your trip. For this purpose, a new payment link will be created, or you will have to make a bank transfer to our accounts for the outstanding amount. Without full payment of the trip price, Bella Aventura has the right to refuse service to the client. Bella Aventura may apply the penalty and cancellation policies indicated in this document in the section (Cancellation Conditions).


The scope of the contractual services results exclusively from the service description of Bella Aventura, which is included in the offer and valid at the time of the trip, as well as the information referred to in the travel confirmation. Additional agreements require the explicit written confirmation of Bella Aventura Costa Rica.

Services not used.

If you do not use the services described in the itinerary for reasons beyond Bella Aventura’s control, you will not be entitled to a proportional refund. However, Bella Aventura may reimburse the client for any refunds from service providers.

Termination of the contract due to extraordinary circumstances

If the trip is hindered, endangered, or significantly impaired as a result of a force majeure event not foreseeable at the time of the conclusion of the contract (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, epidemics, crisis), Bella Aventura may cancel the contract, in order not to put the integrity of the participants or our partners and collaborators at risk. In this case, Bella Aventura will refund the trip’s price minus a proportional compensation for the services already rendered or possibly still to be rendered by the termination of the journey. The total amount of the refund will be established by the management of Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A. This is based on the negotiations with the suppliers linked to the provision of the services contracted by the client.

Guarantee / Obligation to cooperate.

If a travel service is not provided as described in the contract, the customer can demand to reschedule the service or a refund within a reasonable period. Bella Aventura may remedy the situation in such a way that a substitute service of equal or higher value is provided, as long as this is reasonable for the customer and the travel defect has not been caused deliberately against good faith or the remedy does not represent an unacceptable modification of the contract. Bella Aventura can refuse to remedy the defect if the treatment requires a disproportionate expense.

If the contract has not provided the travel services, you must assert your claims against Bella Aventura within one month after the contractual completion of the trip. If a trip is considerably impaired by the situation of Bella Aventura and a remedy is not provided within a reasonable period, you may, within the framework of the statutory provisions, withdraw from the travel contract, provided that the possibilities to remedy the disadvantages or to provide a reasonable resolution for the parties involved have been exhausted beforehand. You are obliged to cooperate in the event of service interruptions within the framework of the statutory provisions to avoid or minimize possible damages: Therefore, any deficiencies in the travel services or the lack of guaranteed features must be reported immediately to the service provider or our partners to proceed with a prompt and timely remedy. Suppose the client does not inform his sales agent (via email) or any of our collaborators through our hotlines (+506 2236 5226 central offices or +506 8439 4040 emergency phone or +506 8741 4270 group hotline). In that case, Bella Aventura Costa Rica S.A. Travel Agency will be exempt from any claim or refund request.

Limitations of liability

Bella Aventura is an agent and coordinator of services provided by third-party service providers (accommodation providers, transportation providers by land, sea, and air, self-employed tour guide services, and organizers of activities of all kinds). We are responsible for the careful selection of these service providers, especially regarding the suitability, compliance with applicable regulations and laws, and insurance coverage of the respective service provider. Therefore, Bella Aventura is not liable for the mediation services of these third-party companies unless we can be accused of intent or negligence or failure to verify that these companies have all valid legal permits. Notably excluded from liability are Personal injury or death and loss of property and assets due to force majeure, civil unrest, or natural disasters. Bella Aventura recommends that you take out travel accident and luggage insurance.

Payment policies.

The formalization of the reservation of your trip must be made in writing by e-mail to your travel agent contact and then fill out the registration form that will contain the information of the travelers.

The travel contract comes into effect with the acceptance of the terms and conditions, as well as the amount of 30% of the total reservation.

It is the traveler’s responsibility to check that the documentation provided is by the contracted services. If this is not the case, you should contact your travel agent to make the necessary modifications.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Up to 45 days before the date of arrival in the country, a penalty of $150.00 US per person will be applied to cover the administrative amount of the services.

  • Between 44 to 30 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount will be charged.

  • Between 29 to 22 days before the arrival date, 30% of the total reservation amount will be charged.

  • Between 21 to 14 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 40% of the total reservation amount will be charged.

  • Between 13 to 7 days before the arrival date, a penalty of 75% of the total reservation amount will be charged.

  • 6 days or less before arrival date will be penalized with a 100% cancellation fee.
